This was made with acrylic paints. The Baron is such a cool dude, I had to paint him! The only thing I don't like is his suit. I think this turned out quite nice, especially the little house in the background
I should paint the black Prince cat sometime too. And Yuki, as well!
Hope ya'll like it!
The Cat Returns belongs to Studio Ghibli.
I should really do something and see that movie! Anyway - I´ve seen some pictures from the movie and have a vague idea what this cat looks like there and I´ve got the feeling he´s actually cuter here done by you. I´ve also noticed the frame of this picture wasn´t big enough for the cat. Beautyful work! Really a master piece!
SEE THE MOVIE! I love all the characters.
In my picture, I added some stripes to him to make it kind of real-storybook-ish, since original he's all orange. haha glad you think he looks cute.
About the frame, it's really about an inch bigger in real life, and I was thinking about cutting it off entirely for DA, but I didn't because I ended up liking the subject poking out from the background. Thanks a lot
Love the pic and love the movie, though the first time i saw it i was slightly tipsy so all i could do was laugh though most of it.
But still, The Baron von Gikkengen is the pinnacle of cool. you make him look very saddened in this pic some how. i suppose he does have some unenviable problems as an animated statuette after all.

The eyes of a wolf aren't like those of any other creature...except those of a man.
To get traditional art skills, start painting animals and stuff in acrylic or watercolor paints first. But like in your gallery, anime people are hard to paint. I've done it before, but i hate mixing skin tones

He's so awesome...I always think he looked sad and/or brooding. He seemed really small for a cat in that movie

All of the characters should be painted, maybe Muta too, but he wouldn't fit in with them
